The City That Never Sleeps
RULES
All of the rules listed below are to be read prior to joining the city that never sleeps. If you are to break one rule you'll be given a warning by one of our admins. If you break the same rule you'll be suspended from both the OCC and the role-play for two days. If you have deemed yourself to have not learnt your lesson and break another rule you will be kicked, no buts.
-Don't be disrespectful to anyone. Think before you speak if your comment may offend one of the people you are addressing please refrain from saying it.
- Hate the character, not the player...
-If your going to be absent post the dates and reason (Unless confidential) in the absents board to when and why you'll be absent this is so us staff don't think you've decided to just up and leave.
-If you're having an issue with another member try solve it respectfully otherwise please don't refrain to contact one of us immediately if the problem still stands.
- If you see a member breaking a rule, feel free to warn them about their behavior so they can correct it, however if the situation gets out of hand it's best to take screenshots and send it to one of our staff members so they can confront the problem. If screenshots are not provided then the problem can not be handled properly due to no valid proof of the member breaking rules. Note that staff members will be online often to take immediate action if problems arise, although the whole community has every right to keep city that never sleeps a safe and happy roleplay.
-If someone posts in regards to addressing your character, please don't ignore them! Please engage in posts whenever they are directed towards you it's not a nice feeling to be ignored.
-Don't bring IC drama into OOC. If your character has shit with another character in the role-play don't diss them in OOC chat regarding the feud between the two or perhaps more characters, It gets annoying.
- Your aloud up to 2 characters when you first join the RP and if you've shown us your an active member and can juggle a few more characters with ease you can have up to 4.
- This is a realistic roleplay. So the answer is no, your character can't be supernatural or have any super powers, etc.
- Stay realistic to your characters class! If your characters residents is the lower class by all means please don't have them driving around in a red ferrari and dining in the most expensive restaurants in Manhattan regularly.
- This a mature roleplay. Meaning yes, it will possibly involve drugs, swearing, sex, etc. However if your planing to do anything sexually explicit with another member's character it is asked kindly of you to do it in private a private chat between the two of you. This is just a precaution because we know some members can become easily uncomfortable.
- There is to be NO discussion of any sort of politics or religious beliefs within the OCC chat or roleplay!
- Please do not spam the OOC chat, roleplay chat or the website in any way, shape, or form. We all know how annoying spam is, and although it is considered a very small offense there will be consequences if a member continues to cause spam after being warned.
- Please try your hardest to refrain from post cutting! We know it's usually accidental but just be aware before you post it has happened to all of us I'm sure more then once.
- Please be literate with your posting and try include detail of what your characters are thinking and appeal to the five senses when possible. You must have at least 5 sentences per post, we understand that sometimes you may be in a rush and have to post a short post but please only make it on occasions.
